The story
Former army captain Eddie Horniman succeeds to the dukedom of Halstead and soon learns what his family's grand country estate has been quietly hosting: a large-scale cannabis operation belonging to jailed crime boss Bobby Glass. With Bobby's sharp daughter Susie running the business – and Eddie's reckless, cocaine-addicted older brother Freddy deep in debt to gangsters – walking away proves impossible, and the duke is drawn into Britain's criminal underworld.
